About Starfire Sports Complex
As the name suggests it, the Starfire Sports Complex is a sporting facility located on the banks of the Green River in Tukwila, Washington. Operated by Starfire Sports, a non-profit corporation, it used to be considered the largest of its kind in the United States when it was inaugurated.

The Starfire Sports Complex was originally Fort Dent Park, under the administration of King County. The site used to include a cricket pitch instead of the artificial –surface soccer fields existing today; there are also grass soccer and softball fields.

After severe budget cuts in 2002, Chris Slatt, Steve Beck and Mark Bickham formed the Starfire Sports Complex after signing a lease on a 40-year period with the city of Tukwila. A wooden part of the 54-acre site is still maintained as a public park by the city of Tukwila.

The new construction includes four lighted outdoor soccer fields with Filed Turf, together with the stadium with the 2000-seat grandstand and an indoor facility. It also hosts the administration offices, as well as the Mad Pizza restaurant and a game room for children.

At the Starfire Sports Complex you will be able to enjoy indoor and outdoor soccer, as well as rugby union games.

The 2,000-seat soccer stadium is presently used by the MSL Seattle Sounders FC for US Open Cup matches, by the Hibernian and Caledonian F.C. and the Pacific Coast Soccer League. Moreover, the annual All Nations Cup is housed at the Starfire Sports Complex. In 2004, the stadium field became the eight American artificial-surface pitch that earned “recommended” status by FIFA.
