About Seattle Children’s TheatreAs a member of Theatre Puget Sound, International Performing Arts for Youth and Theatre Communications Group, the Seattle Children’s Theatre also works with unit members of Actor's Equity, United Scenic Artist, and IATSE.
Throughout time, at the Seattle Children’s Theatre have been produced over 100 new works, some of which are still produced by other regional theatres in the country and also around the world; therefore the Seattle Children’s Theatre has a lot of reasons to be proud of its staff and activity.
Regarding its performance calendar, the seasons performances are presented at Seattle Center from September to June, while the Drama School of Seattle Children’s Theatre also enchants you throughout summer, organizing a Summer Season with student actors who collaborate with the SCT’s professional staff and technicians.
If these haven’t convinced you already, then you should also know that Seattle Children’s Theatre was honored in 2006 with the Seattle Mayor's Arts Award, recognizing artists for their contribution to the community and the nation. The impressive number of awards received by SCT proves the outstanding efforts to reach the aforementioned goal and the seriousness and passion for genuine theatre.
