About Edmonds Underwater ParkThe Edmonds Underwater Park has a maximum depth of 40 feet and it is organized by means of a grid network of anchored ropes. Quite extraordinary about this park is the fact that it was built and maintained by a group of volunteers that meet every weekend.
The Edmonds Underwater Park holds several special attractions such as submerged shipwrecks, including the Triumph tugboat, very large ling cod, large cabezon, octopus, surf perch, rockfish, as well as numerous invertebrates. Moreover, there are also wonderful grey whales.
In the Edmonds Underwater Park you can also do diving. You have at your disposal appropriate amenities: a restroom with diver dressing areas as well as an outdoor shower when the weather is above freezing.
If you decide to come to the Edmonds Underwater Park, then you should be here in the morning because the parking area fills up early due to the large number of visitors. When you are done visiting the park, you can enjoy the wonderful restaurants and coffee houses nearby and you can also pay a visit to the dive shop south of the park.
The EUP includes new features: on November 4th 2009 a large concrete piece that serves as a bridge fender was sunk west of Triumph. It is known as the Lopez Pontoon and it has 5 chambers that can be entered by divers, while also being the perfect habitat for fish, invertebrates, algae, and sea weeds.
