About Chateau Ste. Michelle
The Chateau Ste. Michelle is a renowned winery in Woodinville, actually the oldest in the state of Washington, quite known for its best-selling Riesling bottlings. It boasts as being the largest single producer of Riesling wine in the United States, but also produces other wines, among which experimental wines. Chateau Ste.

Michelle is appreciated to such an extent that it was selected as the American Winery of the Year by the Wine Enthusiasts magazine in 2004.
It is a French style chateau set on a 87 acres surface that belonged to baron Frederick Stimson.

Back then it was used as a hunting retreat and rural working farm (the Hollywood Farm). In 1954 Chateau Ste. Michelle was founded as the American Wine Company, a merger of the National Wine Company (NAWICO) and the Pomerelle Wine Company. Chateau Ste. Michelle and Stimson Lane, its parent company, were incorporated by US Tobaco and then by Altria in 2009.

With such a tradition, Chateau St. Michelle is quite an impressive winery: it became the world leading producer of Riesling wine, with annual productions of over 600,000 cases. The winery extended and also has several branches in Eastern Washington.

At the Chateau Ste. Michelle there is more than wine: at the amphitheater you can enjoy summer concerts and many famous artists such as Amy Grant, Tori Amos, Counting Crows, Tony Bennett, Gypsy Kings, Harry Connick, Jr., Crosby, Stills & Nash, the Dave Matthews Band, Styx, B.B. King, and Diana Krall, have already held their performances.
